Ha, that is just stupid cheap! I would've been happy spending $200 on it. Seriously.

Sorry it's 97, wrong model. Still excellent since the porsche equivalent is like 500.00 amazon does not have the antenna adapter. Still will get it anyway

I bought all of my stuff from www.carstereo.com

Paid $160 USD and that included the adapter. Great price IMO for such a useful piece that retains the factory PCM.

Installing it as I type this.

Default HELP!

So today I try to install this unit and I am having a heck of a time trying to remove the PCM. All necessary bolts are out, all 4 "cam locks" have been turned as per instructions I have viewed on Youtube, and still can't get the bugger out!

Is there a step it am missing? I have looked at a couple of diff vid's and figure out what I am doing wrong. I don't want to force it but neither side will slide out. It'd feels like something is stopping it from moving. I get it budge maybe 2mm but then it's caught.

Looking for some guidance as to what I might be doing wrong. Just fought with it for an 1hr and gave up.

Yep! There is a 7mm bolt on the left side of the PCM below the top cam lock. Loosen it 1/4 inch (do not remove) and the PCM slides right out.

Just took a look and cannot see a bolt on the left side (driver side), below the top top cam lock of the PCM? I see a hole where a bolt should be but there isn't one there. There Was a silver one on the right side (pass side), that I removed but it still won't budge.

I meant the right side. Sorry, long day!

If the cam locks and bolt are taken care of I don't see what else could be holding it...

My only issue with this setup is the green phone button. What does it do, and can it be avoided? There is no way I'm drilling a hole in my beautiful dash for an aftermarket button.

Umm, the button is attached with 3M double sided tape. No drilling is involved. And you don't have to use it. In my 993 I have the lesser version of the TranzIt (without the phone functionality). It doesn't have a button, you control the iPhone manually. But I very much prefer the button because when you press it once it plays your iTunes or other app that you have on. Press it again and it skips the song. It also lets you answer calls, talk to Siri, etc. Very useful.

No prob. Found the issue and got the bugger out! Damn cam locks were not all pressing against the clip to hold them back so the unit would slide out. Corrected it...problem solved...PCM out!

Thx again for your help! Hoping for smooth sailing here on in.

Awesome, make sure you have a green towel to rest the PCM on!

I went with a brown towel....perhaps had I gone green I would have an easier time removing the PCM

Incoming PM. Have a couple of questions for you before I button everything up.

Anyone have trouble pairing with their phone? I can't seem to get the BT activated.

I had no issues connecting. Just followed the instructions and it linked up. Don't even remember what I had to do actually, it was pretty seamless.

Got it working! A quick and simple reset of the module was all that it required and voila!

Anyone on the fence about this should get it. I am not the most "DYI" person and took this project on with ease - thanks for the photo's and step by step of your install Ilko!

I had a call come through while I was tucking everything back in and it sounded very clear. The person on the other end could not tell I was using a hands free device. Satellite Radio works flawlessly. Solid product!
