Default car transport from Austin to LA

Hey guys,
Working on finalizing the deal on a turbo from another rennlister. I have one quote so far for transportation, but was wondering what companies I should call for a quote to get the car from Austin to LA?

I sent you a PM with my contact at Reliable. They are my "regular" and good but not cheap. Use at your own discretion. They will be hauling my 72S from CO to OR next week.

That sounds like the winner.

I used to have a great recommendation, but they closed shop. I've always heard good things about Interstate. But I say take a few days off and drive her home yourself, have fun you and your car and enjoy yourself for a few days!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I ended up flying out to Austin, eating some good BBQ, and then driving it back over 2 days. It was a great chance to meet the seller, also another rennlister, and to get to know the car. Pictures will be posted soon.

Note: Police officers in New Mexico do not like you driving through their state with no plates.

They don't like fast cars either...

Only FYI folks...

Jim from Intercity Lines ("8943post") is the 911 air cooled section sponsor. He just quoted me a good price to haul my 72 911S from Colorado to Oregon.
This is an "odd" or rather unpopular route, but he gave me the best price and best timing.
I had used Reliable for the past 10 years, but they have gotten too expensive...
