Moved up from a 997C2S to a TT!
So I finally took the plunge and upgraded to a lightly optioned TT from my 07 997C2S. I had test-driven a few TTs over the past several months so I has been fairly casual in my search. Got a good deal on my trade from Park Place in Big D and couldn't turn down a price in the upper sixty's. I plan to use this as a weekend/fun car and I haven't ruled out track days.
Here are the particulars on the my new ride:
2007 997TT, 32K miles.
Basalt Black Metallic / Black
2 year CPO warranty
342 ADJUSTABLE SEAT HEATING, LEFT/RIGHT
640 SPORT CHRONO PACKAGE PLUS
P01 Adaptive Sports Seats
I've had it about a month and so far I've gotten the windows tinted, put on clear side markers, upgraded to LED interior lighting, and installed my hardwired 9500ix. I had previously modded my C2S but I'm not sure I will do much else to this car.. maybe paint the turbo badge black..
So far a few impressions are:
1) Clutch feels much better in this car - not sure why my old C2S was so heavy but this car feels great!
2) The engine itself sounds very different than the C2S did, both at idle and in the higher revs. I expected that but I have several turbo Saabs and am familiar with a turbo "whoosh" but this car really doesn't have any of that. It almost has a low gravely rumble to it, hard to describe.
3) Of course the power is addicting!
4) The seats are great! I love how they feel and the extra adjustments are awesome..
5) My only minor gripe is the exhaust sound - I know with turbos thats just the nature of the beast, but I had a Tubi on my C2S and loved it's sound.
I'm sure I'll have some turbo-specific questions as I get more familiar with this beast. Cheers!

Congratulations! Great looking car.
Many people here have the EP1 (Europipe 1) exhaust. That will make the exhaust sound much better and you will be able to hear the turbo whistle.

Nice upgrade! that's a fair price, IMO. Any idea on the recent maintenance? brakes/fluid, oil change, general care, paint condition, front rads, undercarriage, etc...... looks unmolested. the slope may begin .....
exhaust, suspension, tune ( after CPO ends), ..

cool comparo.
Going from a C2S to a TT in the same body style must be an interesting experience in terms of power delivery and performance.

congrats! An exhaust will take care of that problem.. Europipe is he forum favorite but there are others as well..Enjoy that beauty and be ready to start the nightmare and love affair of a black car...

I have the same car as yours but in Cobalt Blue. Came with the Pfaff Tuning Performance Exhaust. Sound was a very muscular, deep rumble. LOUD. Most younger guys loved it. My significant other HATED it. It actually made her physically nauseous. Brought it back to Pfaff to have the exhaust swapped back to original. She now loves the sound. Performance downside is you can feel the loss of the 20 HP and turbo lag is more noticeable.

Congrats! I got my car with 29k miles 16 months ago, just hit 38k before putting her away for the winter.
I added an FVD exhaust I found used through the forums. Nice bump in power and sound.
