Hi,
I'm trying to finish the mod for my own wheel, but really struggling to find the correct wires to tap into the wiring harness to connect the paddles. This is the wiring diagram for my car. Would greatly appreciate any (urgent) assistance you can offer.

How'd you go with this? I see you completed the mod and gave further instructions but I can't see a white or red wire to tap into on the steering wheel connector?

On those instructions, it says to solder the 270 resistor to the black for up shifts, but to the 135 resistor to the blue for the down shifts. Is that correct? The diagram shows them soldered to the yellow and blue respectively.

Legend, thanks so much! I tried yours and pfbz non-MF guides but had no joy, now to get some resistors!

Any 997.1 wheel with paddles for sale?
Hello everyone, I’m new to this forum, planning on buying a 2008 997.1 turbo in the next few days and already want to add paddle shifters, thank you all for the great info but unfortunately and honestly I don’t know if I have the courage to try this mod myself. Is anyone aware of any modified multifunction wheels for sale?
i might be more inclined to go down that road rather than try my first mod experiment on my first Porsche ever.
thanks again

Hi,
Not sure if can say this here. So if I shouldn't please let me know.
Tip owners seem to really like this mod.
I do about one of these conversions every couple of weeks.
Doing these conversions is tricky work. I thought that I would get faster - but it still takes me almost an entire day.
I sell this mod on ebay for $1,500. You may have seen it there.
I can do a special Rennlister deal at $1,350.
This price is for the modification to your wheel.
If I have a spare wheel on hand we can do a swap or I can loan you the wheel. I'll send you a picture of the condition of the wheel to make sure the condition is acceptable to you.

Given this post is from 2015 and BlackBear last posted 3 years ago, I'm going to provide some mostly unrelated and possibly irrelevant information from more modern times. If you don't wanna do the "add paddles yourself" route you can buy a 991.1 pdk wheel to fit without changes to anything. You can also go with a 991.2 pdk wheel and then you may need an adapter from www.GPSadapter.us.

I have a 991.2 GT3RS and did a steering wheel out/in procedure. I think I looked online for a torque spec and torqued it to 37 ft/lb (for 991.1)
I understand now that its 22ft/lb for 991.2. Any issue with running it over torqued? For sure I'll need to use a new bolt the next time it comes off
