2thdoc, If you don't want to hardwire your radar detector, look in the passenger footwell and you will find a 12v power outlet (upper, forward, left). This will allow you to avoid plugging the wire into the console lighter. I don't hardwire because I take my V1 from car to car. This footwell option and the straight cord work well for me. Congrats on a gorgeous car and welcome.

Hey man I drive a Prius. In power mode it's actually very quick. Best car I have ever had!

Seems to me, a statement like that could easily earn a lifetime ban from RL. Just sayin'.....

Proud to be a Prius owner. Wanted to get a front plate on the Prius that read " other car is a Porsche". Nobody would believe me unless they knew me :-). Any consolation, it's my wife that mostly drives it.

Thank you for that info. I was wondering if there were any other outlets.

Never saw it around. In the year of ownership I've only seen one other 997TT in the wild, so to speak. Not counting Cars and Cafe get togethers.

I thought I was dead set on white going into my search. Once I saw Cobalt Blue it became my #1. Just happened across mine at a price I couldn't pass up otherwise I might have ended up with white.

Great looking car. Definitely go for an exhaust, really a must have for these cars. Better sound and less turbo lag.

Thank you all for the nice welcome!
Really enjoying the car, it's the nicest car I've ever owned.

I checked the oil recently and it's down one mark. Should I add oil already or can I wait until it goes to the second or third line? Also, do you guys use 0-40w Mobil 1 or is any synthetic ok?
Thanks

That blue is beautiful! I didn't come across any blue ones and bought the third car I looked at.

Hey Doc,

My daughter just scheduled an office visit at your practice for 11am on September 10th. Take good care of her!

I'll send you a PM with her name. I can also get you her dentist's name down here in San Diego if you want. Are you able to request the records from him?
