I had the pleasure of spending some time with Dieter at this year's Parade. A great guy and a walking encyclopedia on everything Porsche. Thank you for sharing this video!

Thanks for the video link. My love started for Porsche back in 1969/70 watching Can Am races. I still remember the blazing sound as they screamed down the track.

Cool video, yo! I'm going to try and make it up there myself.

240+ MPH! The current LMP1's don't hit 240 at Le Mans these days do they?

I know! Crazy heh? And with a big unstable fiberglass body over lightweight tubular frame you can see why they were, errr, nervous!

Amazing vid. I heard that drivers of those 917's would get together after the race and say to each other "Well, we pulled it off again! We didn't die"! That
is how scary those cars were. Incredible..
