What year is your car? 2008 and older IRC it is not bluetooth. You insert a sim card into the PCM. 2009 and up came with the newer PCM and Bluetooth.

Better off with the tooki, works flawlessly through the PCM. The dennison 500 iPod works good, but it's BT feature blows.
What you have is the factory dash phone, basically a rudimentary cell phone in your dash, you could insert a SIM card and see if it works.

you might have a tooki or dension system installed then. Do you have any spare cables in you glove box or frunk? If so you might post pics and someone can tell which one you have.

Steve - what year is the car?

The new Dension product has far better bluetooth than the older ones, and with the latest firmware update, seems to be working very well. For the money, nothing beats it.

Tooki is NavTV's Bluetooth (parrot chip) product.

OK, saw it was an '07. Email me for a deal to get yourself in the 21st century with bluetooth.

If your car has option 666, you can put a sim card in the PCM head unit and the car will act as a phone. If you have Verizon, or any CDMA based carrier - this wont work, it will only work for ATT and Sprint and Tmobile. If you go to a shade tree cell phone shop they can duplicate your sim card so you can have a permanent phone in the car. Unfortunately for me, I have Verizon so I cant utilize this feature in my 08 997t.

If your car has the phone option it's worth trying.

I tried the Dension BT500S in my 2005 E55 a couple of months ago. It didn't work well at all. It would get the equivalent of the "blue screen of death" after 45 minutes of BT music streaming or phone use, and would also fail whenever I used the left mirror adjustment.

Tooki isn't much better. It fails to pair with my iPhone in the E55 (replaced Dension by the installer).

Perhaps Dension is better in the Porsche, but I know Tooki works for the phone with my PCM.

With the dennison, mine BT streamed very well, but the phone echoed like crazy no matter what I did, and it only held 1/2 of my contacts. I kept the dennison for the ipod, but disabled the BT and added the tooki BT which functions flawlessly.

Quick Reply: what do i need to get my bluetooth to work ?
