funny you say that, 7 of my 8 snapped... shop had to heat em up and get the remains out and install new studs....

i guess it's more commonplace with turbo cause the heat making bolts brittle???? never seen such an issue on my NA cars.

Yes, it can happen, where you really see it is on the old air cooled turbos, those 6mm twigs are really prone to snap off at the headers, not so much at the turbo. That's why porsche switched to bolts instead of studs on the exhaust ports.

It's actually Leo's old TechArt so the fitment should be good unless someone bent it up. Looking at my shop receipt it looks like they actually replaced header gaskets... they must have removed the exhaust+turbos as one piece when installing the new crank pulley. Weird. I will call them tomorrow.

I'll also call suncoast and ask them about these parts. I wanted to order some brake pads from them anyways. Is the die nut and thread tap something I would get from suncoast too?
Did you finish with this? i can't wait for your opinion about Techart... i liked way better than 911tune and fabspeed... it's actually very loud and aggressive after 3000 RPM...

If you didn't do it yet make sure you have new studs and nuts... Techart fitment is just as good as Ep and OEM exhaust.

Bleh, I decided to take it in. I've done all my own work on my cars up until now, but my garage is kinda cramped and I don't want to screw anything up. Not really a big deal when installing suspension etc on a Mustang but with removing the bumper and such, something would have gone wrong. I'm also lazy as hell.

I took it in on Friday, shop had to soak everything in PB blaster to get the exhaust off today, and now the O2 sensors are just as stuck. Many of the nuts were totally rounded off (I noticed this too before taking it in) and when they first tried getting it off on Friday, one of the studs broke. I forgot to ask them for the stud death toll now that it's off. Glad I decided to let someone else take care of this in the end.

Oh yeah... and if your car was worked on by a sub-human at some point, you might need a spare oxygen sensor. This thing was going nowhere

Anyways, the exhaust is on and sounding great. All new studs and anti-seize on the O2 sensor threads, so it should be a piece of cake to get it off again if needed.

Maybe the Gorilla man that had taken a bite out of the crank pulley had also rounded off all the bolts? Standard open ends tend to do that on those fur'n parts!

It sounds like you have a great shop now and these guys are professionals! That is great!
