Default Introduction to RL

Hey everyone -

Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I bought my first P-Car last summer and spent a lot of time lurking on 6speedonline, etc.

I purchased an 07 997.1 TT in basalt black with black interior. I must admit I actually do not know all the options and trims and things like I did in my previous life as a BMW owner. My last car was an E60 M5.

I absolutely love the turbo and find it to be a perfect car. I purchased it with 28k on the clock and now just broke 43k, as its my DD. Last Friday however, my water pump blew. I read somewhere this is a common problem on 997.1 TT?

Anyways, I hope my experience here on RL will be as great as M5board was as a resource and online community.

I hope today finds everyone well.

Best Regards,
Z

Congrats and welcome - I also came from an E60 M5 - loved the V10 hated the SMG. I don't think water pump failures on the 997 are a common problem - when they fail you do hear about it on the forums but you never hear about all the ones still running.

Welcome aboard and I'm a fairly new too. My water pump was also failed about two months ago. Luckily I have a CPO and dealer took care of it.
