Default Help with TechArt Type 1 Wing Install?

Went ahead and purchased/painted a full TechArt Type 1 kit.

So far have had an easy installation, sans the Wing.
I cannot figure out how to remove the threaded nut/plate from the factory wing.

I purchased a wing removal tool for the hyrdolic rams. That was a piece of cake.

Figured it out, it's missing the TechArt Mounting Hardware

Here's the pics of the front and rear. (I've temporarily held off on the side skirts, not 100% certain that I like them.)

Love the font lip. And the rear piece. My friend has that Techart rear piece on his and it looks so great.

Do you have any tech friends and an indie or a dealer? They should be able to solve the rear wing mystery for you. Good luck!

Hmm... I know my shop has tried to take it off the stock wing and nearly stripped it. My werks1 had its own attachment to the ram. I'm very surprised techart doesn't. Can you take a pic of the bottom of the TA wing where the attachment goes?

Thanks guys. I contacted TechArt USA, since I was also thinking it was missing something. They pointed out that it should have come with the mounting hardware included. Which it was missing. They are going to order from Germany and re-ship to me.

Here's a pic of the mounting strut less the hardware.
In the meantime, I decided to mount the skirts since I had them ready to go. Was a painless install.
Everything fit so precisely, almost like the OE.

so the techart wing will work on cabs but the factory aero kit won't?

also the techart sides do look great on your cab, do you mind pm'ing what it cost you parts and paint since you did the install yourself?

TIA

Thanks, I agree, I think it looks much more masculine with the sideskirts on it. I will take some better shots once I have some free time.

As far as price, you won't believe what I got ths kit for.... ( I purchased it off of SFBay Craigslist for 1k). Complete in the boxes, with all the paper work! Appearantly a shop in Los Altos was closing and this was left over. Odd thing is that it was on Craigslist for over 3 months the guy said. No one purchased it, which is crazy too me...

Paint ran me 936.00 at a local body shop in Danville, Ca. (Symmons). They did an excellent job.
So basically I have 1936.00 into this kit so far.

As far as time invested, I would say I've spent 2-3 hours installing so far. Mostly, stopping to drink beer...
It's a great fitting kit, therefore, no time is spent fixing things.
I fit it, made sure things lined up, then sent for paint.
The front lip takes about 15mins to install.
The rear diffuser about 1.5 hours.
The side skirts about an hour.
The wing probably 15 mins. I have the stock one off a couple times already. Takes about 15mins.
For the life of me, I can't see why body shops charge so much for this. It's such DIY it's not even a challange for someone who has a little bit of knowledge. I realize they have rent/insurance, families to feed, etc. But the time qoutes are atleast double what I would expect.

I was qouted the following retail prices from a shop for parts and labor:
Side Skirts:1,350.
Front Lip: 2,200.
Rear Spoiler: 2,400.
Rear Diffuser: 1,700.
Total: 5,670.
Paint/Labor: 4865.00

$11,223.00 with tax otd.
