I've tried to buy a TT at least 4 times so far!

1. 2002 - was about to buy 996 tt w/ x50 package but ended up moving to NYC so I opted out and chose to wait

2. 2006 - moved to CT but still going to the NYC every day. Almost got 996 tt, but really needed a good all around train car (bought audi A4)

3. 2008 - was about to buy a 2003 996 tt w/ x50 (again) but ended up buying a 993 C2 cab I fell in love with (I know.. very different animal but I love 993s and I've done some special things to my cab)

4. 2012 - now I was after 997 tt , which I really wanted over 996tt anyway, but had a 3 year old daughter and needed the practicality of a sedan (bought '08 M5)

5. This month, after all these years, - said F' it.. now its time. Found 997 tt I've always wanted via 1 search on a Sunday night! Bought right away. It gets picked up tomorrow and should be in my garage by Friday/Saturday.

Eleven years of it waiting and now, finally, I have my 911 turbo en route.

I usually switch cars every 2 years but something tells me I'm gong to be holding on to this car for a while.

Got mine in Feb 2013. What a great car! I get a lot of random complements when I'm out and about. Pulled up to stop sign one time. Guy in the next lane put his Mercedes in reverse to tell me what a sweet ride I have. Now, that's cool!

Lots of 997TT transactions from/to Atlanta, haha! I picked up mine last month at Atlanta and drove it to Philly. Very enjoyable 800 miles!

Count me in too. Got mine for myself on Valentine's day. 997.2 TTS. Wife wasn't so thrilled, but now she's happy for me. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Even took it drag racing once with the winter snow tires. Ran a 11.4xx@127.xx with a 2.0 60' (too slick to floor it)

Picked mine up last night. When I called my brother who has a twin turbo too he said, "Welcome to the big league". HA!
