Default Buying Advice : this 2008 TT

Hi guys, I'm going to buy this car tomorrow (I think). I love the color combo & options and really like that it's CPO.

http://www.porschebeachwood.com/deta...-10066143.html

Too many miles though?

Would welcome any and all thoughts as I've never owned a 997 tt before. Thx in advance

wow awesome color combo, car looks like it is in great shape. mileage is fine, it's 5 years old so I would say the mileage is average not high by any means

you've got the CPO, car looks great if you love it go for it and drive the hell out of it

Nice car.... i got the same deal but 2007 for 66k (39k miles) try to offer them $72k first, you can find 2008 997TT CPO with 15k miles for that price

Wink

Thx for the replies.

rijowysock - really appreciate all the background info!

If I had a bit more patience, I'd wait till the 991 turbo finally arrives since we'll see a lot more 997 tt hit the market. That said my must haves are GT silver over cocoa or natural brown, red tail lights, sport chrono, CPO, and a few other bits... all of which are on this car (though not sure if I love the alum look air vents).

Mileage - I feel its a bit high only because I'll be at 50k miles within 1.5 years and, psychologically, that just feels high but, again, I already have a garage queen so this car will be my DD and I'm buying to drive and enjoy.

I've been a p-car owner and zealot since I was 17 , but I'm parting with a mint '08 E60 M5 to get this car and, though it might be sacrilegious to say on this forum, I'm already missing that car. I'm sure the first drive in this 997 tt will erase most of that, however

If it's the combo you want, then that's huge. Looks good
997.1tt will go down as classics in the future imo.

I like the color combo but the lack of sport seats would impact my decision. I've owned 997"s with both seat types and definitley prefer sport seats. Since it's a CPO car the mileage shouldn't be an issue. Have the plugs been replaced? This is recommended at 30k

I believe one of the dealers around here had a silver/cocoa w sport seats, 20xk miles, etc, can't recall which one.
When I was looking, sport seats were the only deal breaker.

Natural brown leather is awesome! One of my favorites.

However, for me, the standard seats would be a deal-killer. I find them the most uncomfortable Porsche makes. And, with the natural brown leather, finding a proper seat would be difficult at best. If you can live with the seats, it's a great car.

Concerning to me is the frosty look of the headlight lenses. Dealer confirmed the lenses are a bit frosty. He's cleaning and buffing them out to see if that help and then going to send me photos.

While trivial to some, this could be a deal breaker for me. My OCD couldn't reconcile as nothing visually ages a car more than non clear headlight lenses IMHO

Good car but like others said the seats are a deal killer for me.. Not the miles.. If it's condensation in the llamp and not the lenses they cannot be rehabilitated.. If that is crucial for you I would make sure about this.
