Any winter driven 997TT's?
Wondering if any 997TT owner's drive their cars year round, including the winter months? If so, how do you find the drive with the snow etc.?
I plan to drive mine year round, so I am interested to hear your experiences.

How bad are the stock 997tt tires in snow? Only reason I ask is because I need to drive my new to me turbo back on Friday and looks like snow the next few days. 4 hour drive, but I guess I can just ship it if its bad...

be very careful. The compound freezes and its like driving on glass. I woulnt try this. Try getting some of those soft blanket snow thingies, if you have them there.

If it has the OEM summer tires I wouldn't drive it in the snow. I did it once in a 928 and I was slipping and sliding all over the place. I drive my tts all year long so long as no snow or salt on the roads.Keep in mind the OEM summer tires don't have the same grip at 30 degrees that they do at 70.

Love my TT cab for year around DD. I do NOT drive it in the snow but for fear of what other yahoo drivers will do. If not for that it's TOTALLY capable with some winter tires to be your DD. It's such a great car!

My first 996c4s I drove the entire first winter on summers. Doable, just be very freaking careful. Having done it I would not advise it to anyone not an expert winter driver.

I have a Panamera 4S with snow tires for the serious snow, but once the roads are plowed, the 997tt does come out and play. I have to be conscious of the temperature if I want to push the handling as below 40 degrees can be scarey with Michelin PS2 tires. With snow tires, it would be as unstoppable as the Panny is, I imagine.
