Tail Light LED Turbo resistor install E.C.L warning light fix

Some led tail lights trigger an error code or warning light on your dash. LEDs do no have the same resistance as regular bulbs. Resistors in series will eliminate those issues so no warning check engine lights come on the dash. We use two resistors in series to reduce the amount of heat that they generate, make sure to tap onto the signal wires only. We always recommend soldering your connections but the the do it yourselfer, t-taps will work fine. Make sure they are tight and snug when plugging them in.

So we just got the opportunity to do a full LED Lighting Upgrade for the Fine people over at Porscheof Fremont, a Fletcher Jones Dealership.

We just got done doing The full LED upgrade package (tails, bumper, sides) with the Auto DTR For modification so the White LED are on all the time auto with the Ignition

Here's Some Photos, FYI The car look to have the Vortec Supercharger in it.

So Here's some stuff I hope will help

I done some work on a few cars yesterday and this is what I came up with...

If your using the red bulb you need 1 set of resistor juston the driver side and here is the photo. If you tape of the parking light prong inside the scoket, the car still see the parking light for the 2 other s****ets that share the same circuit. so the fix would need to be added to just the driver side. the pass side has no current on the grey/white i metered it.



Now if you want to run no bulb the should work as well

now If for no bulb or you want to go with red led/smd bulbs then there are 3 sets of resistor needed. to clear the code.




I hope this helps may work on other manufactures as well.

Email me if you need extra resistors. If your not using them on the turn singal try just the driver.

Question,

I have these lights installed in my 997.1. When I remove or tape the passenger side red bulb I lose the whole right side light (LED's go out).
Is there a solution for this?
