Question Spacers on 997 Turbo

Hello, everyone
Merry Christmas!

I have 997.1 T with H&R springs (- 1 inch hight) and HRE P43 wheels:

P43 9x20 ET57
P43 12x20 ET48

I am thinking about adding some spacers, front and rear, so that car looks a bit more aggressive. What would you recommend (if anything at all) given the lowered suspension and the HRE wheels? I do not want to go extreme, and I do not want any rubbing either, but I think 5mm spacers would not be noticeable at all?

When I had P40's (HRE) on mine they had a pretty aggressive offset. I guess the P43's less so. I had 5mm spacers on my Boxster and it was just enough on that car but probably more noticeable to me. I think more than 5mm might be a bit much. I plan on adding 5mm to my Sport Classics

Do 7mm in the front and 15mm in the rears. Not too agressive.. Really makes a huge difference in the look. If you do the fronts you will need an alignment. I have the same springs and spacers..

If you like start with the rears only.. Even with 20's 15mm and 7mm shouldn't be too much..

You need to do the calculations before adding 15mm spacers - OEM 11x19 et 51 versus his 12x20 et 48 already pushes the wheels out by 16 mm - do you really want to push them out another 15 mm to extend 31 mm beyond stock?

Thanks everyone for your answers!

Jhbrennan, the rears still sit quite "in" when one looks from the side, it you know what I mean. The fronts look like the wheels on the Delorean when it was on the railroad alloys, that is, quite a lot "in". It would be nice to have at least rears right out to the wheel arches, but I am not sure about rubbing.

I want mine to look something like this (maybe a bit less sticking out in the front):

Here is a side shot of the HRE P40's without spacers. Is your set up less aggressive looking?

The offset on my HRE's was ET51 front and ET 35 rear. I think they were a bit more aggressive than yours. I would think 5mm would be enough and wouldn't add that much weight. Do you know the offset on your wheels? You may want to call or drop an email to HRE for advice as well. I've found them to be very accommodating.

This set up looks really nice. Is the car lowered NoPasaran? Spacers..? Is the european suspension set up defferantly than the NA set up from the factory?
