Kline on!
System fitted but not completely rebuild yet. Porsche sytem a nightmare to come off! Went with 200 cell cats, Kline weighs nothing in comparison to O/E. New system was a perfect fit - very, very easy install. Fitted cats first then mufflers. Everything bolted up within a mm tolerance, no jiggling around, perfect. Cant wait to hear it, it will be tomorow now, jusy need to work out how to get the intercoolers back into position!

Can't see the turbo heat shields on? Are they on?
Noted those exposed rubber v belts and exposure of the harmonic balancers metalastic bonded crank damper...#pic 1.
Anyway, good to see you've got past those cat flange studs and nuts out of the way..

Excuse my ignorance but what are extenders and how exactly do they work? Kline assured me the 200 cel cats would not throw a cel. I would have been as well to delete the cats all together if I was going to get a cel. Hope that doesn't happen.
An Alloy plate across the rear fixing plate would take care of that to a large extent. I know what you are saying about the E/P having shields but then as I said previously I have made considerable savings. Then again if heat did have an adverse effect how irrelevant would the fact it's a cheaper system be? I need to trust the guy's at Kline that this is not an issue.

Sorry to hear that although the pics told that story unfortunately. Oh well, what's another set of nuts and studs amongst friends lol. I think the 997tt nuts aren't lock nuts whereas the 997tt ones are, so if you are ordering them from parts specify the 996tt ones and just add some spring washers, or some plain skinny washers will do. I can't recall which ones i used but i know I did use washers as a safety precaution. Shame those locknuts make a mess out of the stud threads on the way off. I've always wondered why Porsche fitted those because there would have to be jobs that come up in the servicing of these cars that require the exhaust to be removed.
