LSD install
So I found the color combo I like with possibly a rare color combo (grey/tan with deviating black) but it doesn't have LSD. I've researched various threads on RL and 6spd and surmise the diff is around 1500 for Quaife and 2500 Guards.
Just trying to decide whether to wait or buy and install.

LSD is great. Had it from new on my 993, replaced the factory unit at 80K with a Guards and drove it to 161K before I sold it.
I would jump on the color combo if all else checks out, drive it a few K miles, and then decide if you really want LSD for the 90% of driving you do.
The TT already has so many good handling aids that, except for frequent track and extremely spirited canyon carving, it probably meets your needs already.

Good way to go. Also, get it rebuilt with Guard internals before installing. OE clutch packs have notoriously weak preloads.

Correct Tip has no LSD.
Go with Guards for LSD. Matt from Guards is on these forums too.

me too. could be the nicest car, perfect in every other way but if the interior is light gray I walk away. For some inexplicable reason a light gray interior makes me feel like I'm in a rental car. just personal preference, no offense to gray leather seat enthusiasts
Only time I've been semi ok with a light gray interior is if it has thick black contrast stitching to break up the look a little.

ditto mine was custom by fairfield county motorsports. cost 8k installed. worth every penny. totally noticing the difference around turns.
