ask and you shall receive. photoshop of the ADV 10 concave (from the GTR above) on a meteor gray 997.1 Turbo
I think this looks ridiculously good. I think we have a winner. thoughts people?
Agree they do look very good but i must wonder at what other cost when you look at the obvious weight and diameter factors. I mean the Porsche turbo was essentially engineered as a performance package.

totally agree. still gathering as much info from the vendors as possible. Plan is to keep the wheels at 19" and weight within 10% of stock. If these wheels can meet those parameters I don't anticipate any performance impact, would you?

Looks ok, but those offsets, especially up front, aren't possible on our cars without a ridiculous widebody kit. It's always dodgy to put wheels from a different car on our's.
I prefer the level of concavity (non-ridiculous) you get out of the HRE P40 SC Series, like the P44SC, or the P40SC.

LOL, I wouldn't be using wheels from a GTR. If I decide to purchase these wheels they would be built for our car with the proper offsets

Lol. Nor would I. I guess the weight of those wheels wouldn't be a consideration on a GTR given the lard it already carries...but put on a Porsche is an entirely different story.
There's a set used Adv 10 spoke 3 piece 20'' in brushed gunmetal for a 997tt with tires for sale on 6speed for 4k obo, there close to me & i looked at them last weekend & took some pics ,i passed as i'm leaning towards 19" now, but they do look good ,let me know if you want anymore info.

Yes thanks saw these and I PM'd him this weekend. The problem for me is the 20" Deep Concaves are too heavy. The seller got back to me last night and the weights are:
Fronts: 29 lbs
Rears: 32 lbs
The good news is the 19s are about 3 lbs lighter and the track spec are even lighter. I am still digging and asking questions but should have a firm lock down on which design and wheel package will get me closest to the look I want and still maintain near OEM weight so as not to sacrifice performance.
ok getting closer to a decision. The verdict is the standard Deep Concave is out in all sizes due to weight
However ADV has a Track Spec Deep Concave option shown below in 19s
They achieve the weight savings with a step lip design and contoured spokes that come over the stepped lip while keeping the center ring deeper in the wheel thereby using less material.
Was told the weights would be with in 1 lb of the OEM 19s:
Fronts: 19x8.5 24.5 lbs
Rears: 19x12 27.5-28 lbs
I would plan to use my OEM rubber since I still have nearly 80% tread left. 305/30/19s ok to stretch onto the 19x12s? I think I read a thread Denis started saying the 305s worked well with his BBS 19x12, yes?
Trying to see the finishes in person before making a decision. I am leaning towards brushed gunmetal clear coated lip with satin black spokes.
As requested (your PM) here some pictures, car is not lowered (yet) and I think it looks very good.
And yes, 305 is perfect for 12" , it's the OEM fitment on the GT3 RS btw.
wow Denis, those wheels do look great. I was on the fence because I don't want to lower the car a full inch with springs and wasn't sure that aftermarket wheels (especially black) would look good without a drop, but these pics definitely look great. just to confirm, the euro cars and the US cars are all the same in terms of stock ride height correct? I ask because the rear looks lower than stock but it's probably just the angle or the fact the 19x12s fill the rear fenders better
19x12s in the rear are perfect, and I was told you could also go 19x9 in the front and still use the stock tires in 235/35/19s without issue. Given your experience would you have any concerns in doing so?

thanks again,

If you go to an aftermarket wheels you will (most likely) not be happy with the look unless you lower the car. If you don't want to go the whole inch then go the Eibach route..one half inch I believe,.. Lowering my car was one of the best things I ever did. It looks and handles proper now...I am buying "six packs" of spoiler lips though... Beautiful wheels BTW....
