The Teutonic Beast is home... Updated pics and Options List
Yes! Flew home from Kansas City and picked up the silver and red Teutonic Beast. It's unbelievable! The engine is incredible. Will take it out early tomorrow morning for a good run up the coast and back.
Here's some crappy shots - sun very bright today - better ones coming later.

Initial impressions and pics...
Just back from a good early morning, top down, revs high run up the infamous Porsche-eating Sea to Sky Highway. This car is a BEAST and LOVES to run. I had difficulty keeping it down and it seems much more planted, sturdier, and almost effortless in it's power. Even at low within-the-speed limit speeds and with the top down I rarely kicked in the turbos and still had a blast.
Maybe its the 4-wheel drive and the wider tires that makes it seem more planted and tougher than my C2S but it's quite a different ride.
The engine is without question more responsive. My C2S had this almost stuttering-like lag until it got into the higher revs. The TT? None of that. Just free turning, turbo's spinning, easy revving. The transmission is sturdier too.
Great to finally have adapative sport seats with the larger side bolsters. In my C2S I would often feel like I was falling out of the seats on this highway.
All in all, this is a FANTASTIC car.
Here's some better pics up at Porteau Cove, a Provincial Park half-way up the Sea to Sky. Beautiful location and light early in the am.

- Manual Transmission
- Limited Slip Differential
- Rear Part Assist System
- Side Skirts Painted in Exterior Color
- Spoiler Lip Painted
- Wheels painted in External Color
- Natural Carrera Red Leather
- Center Console in Full Leather
- Adaptive Leather Sport Seats with Drivers Memory
- Sport Seat Backs Painted in Exterior Color
- Porsche Crest in Seat Backs
- Heated Seats
- Auto Dimming Mirrors
- Thicker Sport Steering Wheel
- Illuminated Stainless Steel Door Sills
- PCM (lower portion) Painted in Exterior Color
- Seat Belts in Silver
- Sport Chrono Package
- Navigation
That's about it. Thanks for everyone's advice and support on this purchase. Like I said to CP, it's always felt with my first Porsche, my C2S, that swapping it for another car was like dropping the family dog off at the vet or cheating on my wife! This was different this time. The right car, the right options, and the right price (essentially wholesale for this area). Great to be part of this forum too. We need to get more guys to post! The 997.1 is much more active, maybe reflecting the sheer number of cars. The TT's are a bit rarer.
Off to enjoy the day. Here's to high revs, tops down, zippers up (a forgetfull thing to watch for when you get older) and no cars in front.

Congratulations, I wanted that color scheme to but in the end I ended up with the speed yellow, coupe. Maybe I'll see you I town as I am from Vancouver or maybe on one of the Porsche events. By the way how much did you end up spending? Mine with taxes in with pccbs and fully loaded was $89900.

A real beauty, and destined to run about in some beautiful country as well.
Wish mine was a Cab.
You mentioned Kansas, so I posted a pic of my 996 Turbo in Kansas. I titled the picture "Somehow, Kansas knew I was there........"
I think that was Dodge Kansas.

LOL. Nice shot. And as for the cab? Fantastic - the major reason I bought the car. SO nice to have the top down... Nothing else like it. it's always driven me nuts seeing e cab up on cars on a nice day. Get that thing down!

Beautiful car! It's so great to hear about a new TT owner. I remember my first ride home in mine...I couldn't stop snickering.... That interior is awesome with the silver.. Especially in a cab.. Enjoy!!!!!!
