Default Bumper question

Thinking about changing the look of my 07 TT, wondering about going with OEM GT2 bumper vs aftermarket. Vivid racing has a number of options, as does RUF and Techart.
Question- are the OEM bumpers made of the same materials as the aftermarket?

First of all beware of Vivid..

If you go with the OEM GT2 bumper you are guaranteed perfect fitment.. I'm sure fitment would be good with Ruf or Tech Art as well. All bumper covers mentioned are polyeurethane..

Cheapest easiest alternative is pay about $150 & get the oem GT3 vent & cut it into your own bumper ,it was one of the 1st mods i did,no repaint required it's a DIY if the buy the template from Rennline or any decent shop can do it.I also added the aero kit front lip about $500 i think ,those 2 totally changed the look of the front bumper.

Twturbo, that looks very nice, i agree with phillipj. I am seriously thinking of the same mods. Was it hard to cut the GT3 vent? I like the GT2 look but one still has to make a few modifications for the vents

Not much of a DIY guy myself so i had a local shop do it for me pretty reasonably from what i remember ,for DIY i know others have used the Rennline template too make it easier, as i think the location is key & there are some components behind the bumper to deal with.

I went on to Rennline's website to look at the GT3 vent kit.. They have a video showing the install.. If you have the tools and are confident with a jig saw it 's an easy DIY.. I personally would have it done.. The thought of me trashing my bumper cover would be
