Very close Nick , it's a 2 tone I am thinking about.
N. Brown with either Aluminium look, would be nice with my new rear console, or alcantara as you suggested.
But this how I would like the mix to be :

With nothing black inside the car other than the vents, the seat slides and a few dash buttons, to use anything other than the interior trim colour on the steering wheel would only make this exercise look like a frivolous afterthought/bad mistake....although that said i've seen worse sins commited to these magnificent cars beyond simply fitting the wrong colored steering wheel...lol! I guess the upside here would be that the sin has been contained to the inside...

As the saying goes; "if it aint broke dont try to fix it"!

Thanks everybody !
To the members who say the stock wheel is perfect. To me it is not ! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and in this case I am not seeing the beauty. Black makes it less visible but I agree, would not match the rest.

This is a beautiful steering wheel, if this model was in my car would not think for a second of 'improving' it. But read somewhere 997II airbags are not compatible with 997I electronics.

You are mistaken... You can get this wheel inside our car. Its expensive, but you can. Figure $2000 with airbag or so. Plus your car is a manual so it would actually be cheaper... Check 6sp and suncoast. The pic above is from a modified .2 wheel. Is it DCT?
If so, ask them about core exchanging a .1 wheel for a .2 wheel! I like that look!

Ring at 12 o clock should be yellow...

Finally someone replies to my remark. I am 100% sure I read it somewhere but can't remember where. Does not matter anymore as my friend, Nick came to the rescue

Yes this is a DCT conversion.

I just ordered at friendly Rene and will ask him if he can do this wheel instead. Than I'll have to buy the airbag from Porsche. If he can't I'll be happy with a stock sport wheel modified by him. It'll look 100 times better already.

Almost forgot but he wrote this " Thanks for your interest in our products and say many thanks to the Greek member who was recommending us"

Expensive indeed, I checked Suncoast and it comes to $2125.
Add shipping, duties and taxes and it becomes too much imo. I have asked Rene if he can do one. Let's see what he says.

Rene can use a .2 donor and make whatever you want I guess. But he has to start with a .2 wheel...

I recall last week a 997.2 wheel on ebay black for $400... I would keep an eye out for one of these, used and re-do it... That definitely is a great looking wheel.

Yes agree the .2 wheel (as shown) is an improvement over the existing unit....although somewhat cost prohibitive. You'd really need to hate the existing wheel to make it worth the exercise imo.

I vote black wheel. There is enough dark colored stuff in the front of the car to make it work.

Yes, straight swap with no issues. Only requirement is to activate the multi function option through Piwis, any P dealer can do this. Takes about 2 minutes including driving in and out of the shop. My dealer did it free of charge.
Without it your horn won't work.
