PTV
Who actually likes PTV? I find it too intrusive in tight corners, very artificial feeling. I can feel it brake an individual wheel, it really throws me off while I'm trying to make a smooth turn. Anyone else notice anything about it. My turbo S has it standard, it is optional on the turbo.

wouldn't this add to brake wear? I know there were discussions about how some of these systems (non PTV) are applying the brakes when you don't even know it, and could be contributing to accelerated brake wear. Isn't this more of the same thing?

This takes it a step further. I can feel it braking a single wheel. Other PSM intervention is not too bad, but PTV is way too invasive IMO. I hear the McLaren is all about this kind of technology and active suspension, that's why I'm staying away from it. Brake wear will definitely be accelerated, and not evenly. If I did not feel it, I would not mind it so much. My 09 turbo has none of this stuff just the rear axle diff lock, and it is much more predictable.

$64 question;
so, exactly how many sub-systems in the current model work to enhance stability by applying brakes preferentially to various wheels?
Is there such a thing as too many systems doing similar things?
Is what the OP is feeling is the struggle between systems?

I feel it in tight corners going reasonably fast on the street but my no means as fast as track driving. It happened again yesterday when my daughter and I were going for a leisurely but spirited drive. I got so fed up with it that we came back home after about 10 miles of driving, left the turbo home and took the 996 GT3. I drove the GT3 for about 30 miles, with no worries of intervention. I'm going to take the turbo to the dealership to get it checked out, something is not right. They need to check the brakes, alignment, center lock torque etc. I'll see if they find anything.

I will definitely get it checked out. It might need some reprogramming. Maybe Walter Rorhl didn't push it enough during development and testing lol.
