Default 997 Turbo Gen1 questions

HI,

Picked up my '07 Turbo today. What a car!!! It's a manual and has about every package in the book. PCCB, rear diff lock, short shift, sports chrono,... just over 6000 miles on the clock.

So got a few questions.

1) When I turn the engine off I get that rumble. I take it that is normal?

2) Had that vibration which looked to come from the dash. Turns out to be the rear few mirror - so that's sorted.

3) Got this other vibration. Looks to be metal on metal. Hard to tell but somewhere from the center console or the bottom of the seats. Any idea?

Regards

Congrats on your new TT, you will grow to appreciate that car with every drive. Here are a few answers that may be helpful;

1- If it's a mechanical sound when you shut off the motor then yes it's normal
3- Take a look under the passenger's seat, there is a deep well down there and I've lost many a water bottle or loose items that may bang around and make noise.

Post of pic of your your ride!

Shutdown with the clutch pedal depressed - much quieter.

So I found 3 out of 5...

1) rear view mirror vibration at times
2) passenger side speaker cover
3) handbrake release button (aluminium) vibration

The other two will be found soon!

Man - I love that car!!!!!!!!
