Default GT3 Wheels on an '09 Turbo

Does anyone know if the new 997.2 GT3 wheels fit on a 2009 997.1 turbo? Thanks.

I would assume they are narrow body offsets so you'll need a spacer for the rear. Someone needs to chime in on the offsets. If they are sized like the 997.1 GT3 wheels the rears will be maybe 67mm while the turbo needs 51mm. I run 997.1 GT3RS wheels on my 997.1 turbo - the GT3RS wheels do have the widebody offsets.

Cowhorn,

That ^ is correct. The GT3 RS wheels would fit your car.

However, the 997.2 GT3 RS wheels are center lock wheels, and, as I recall, your Turbo does not have center lock wheels. If that is the case, then you would need to get the 997.1 GT3 RS wheels.

Jason (atomic80) installed 997.1 GT3 RS wheels on his Cobalt Blue 997.1 Turbo about 4 years ago. Here is a link to his thread which contains a couple of pics.

that for some reason looks wrong... suspension? Tire profile? tire size? gap seems too large...

It does look a little off - wonder if he has GT3 (narrow body) wheels and not the GT3RS wheels.

It looks like it needs spacers, big time. And some lowering springs.

Definitely needs to add spacers. Lowering it may screw up that sweet aero kit front apron.
