Default Check Engine Fault

Have a 2010 TT. Got a "check engine" light and brought it to the dealer. It is apparantly a problem with the exhaust in that the car things that there is a problem with the exhaust...but there isn't. There is a technical bulletin out therer but no fix for it. Anybody had the same issue that was fixed with success that I could tell my tech here?

Even the stock system can have a bad cat, do you have the code?
Nice thing about the 997.2 is that the system is modular, so just the bad component can be swapped.

Are you experiencing random power loss? If so then there is a known issue. Apparently there is a sensor that is only used in Japan markets and everywhere else leads the computer to assume incorrect exhaust temps. I had this issue on my 2010 TT. Apparently the fix is to disconnect the sensor and put a dummy plug on it. I havent had an issue with power loss or high exhaust temps since. I would recommend calling Peter in the service dept. at Pfaff. I deal with him and he is very familiar with this issue as we had been trying to find a solution for my power loss since May.

Ask the dealer for the DTC code? Post the "code" so that we can help.
