hey guys
i am looking to get a 2007 turbo. love my C4S but i drove a turbo and can't get it off my mind. the problem is the one i found has 36k miles but is certified. i have never bought a certified car with greater than 15k on it. any opinions on this. should i wait to find one with the specs i want with less miles.
thanks and hope to be in this forum soon

36K on a Turbo is nothing... again, since there are many out there the mileage should drive the price down.
If you are getting the car at a good price that reflects the mileage, don't let the mileage stop you from buying it. The fact that is a CPO car is even better.

Yes, once you drive the TT, its all over. You want one, you need one, you must have it
I recently moved 'up' from '96 993 to '07 TT. Looked for about two months and I can tell you that there're plenty low-mile TTs out there. Mine was specked very close to what I wanted with only 8.3K miles on the clock. Take your time and find the car you want with low miles . . .
thanks
the problem is i have very specific taste. i want PCCB's, park assist (garage at work is pitch black necessity for me), rear wiper, sport seats, multifunction steering wheel, stick. this combo is hard to find in silver or black. only found 3 in past 2 years, 2 got sucked up in 2 days, the other one now has 36k miles. will be my second car with at least 2 year warranty. only put 4k on my C4S in 1.5 yrs....
thanks

Mine is Silver/Black with PCCBs, Sport Seats, Rear Diff, Short Shift and Carbon bits. PCCBs, Sports Seats and Rear Diff were must have options for me. Anything above those options, I considered pure gravy. I took me two months to find the car but I looked just about every day, including several auction houses. Bought the car from another Rennlister who had to sell this car due to overseas relocation . . .
It may be possible to install some options you require at a later time. I would imagine park assist can be fitted later if this is a must-have option for you. The rear wiper is quite useless, imho and is the reason you hardly ever see TTs with rear wiper installed. If you show some flexibility on your desired options I'm certain you can locate a TT that would fit your needs . . .
thanks

If it is spot on to the options/ color you want, to me you have answered your own question. In three years you will have yourself a six year old car with 44,000 miles - or something approaching an average mileage Turbo. Given you are putting on only 250 miles a month I would simply negotiate a fair price given its mileage and buy it...
