You're kidding, right?
I wouldn't even begin to compare the two engines. You can see one of them racing at Le Mans this weekend, the other will be at Starbucks LOL

When the new turbo and gt3 are wet sump, I'll be taking the porsche badge off my '91 turbo out of embarassment.

Oh yeah.

And I'm sure that you, personally, spend much more time at Le Mans than you do at Starbucks LOL

Hey boolala, don't take it so personally. Some of us just enjoy the engineering and craftsmanship that go into building a race-proven dry sump engine. And some, like yourself, enjoy paying the same price but getting a mass-produced grocery-getter engine instead

And the difference is: we both use our cars largely for "getting groceries" or doing something equally mundane.

I'm sure that your car would otherwise experience oil starvation as you whip it around the corner in 20 mph school zones if you had a wet sump engine instead.

Yes, we are very impressed Mr. Haywood.

From your demeanor in this thread, and your utter disinterest in the engineering excellence of the 911 engine, I have to wonder why you're here in the first place. It's clear you're not a Porsche enthusiast, and that's fine - but why waste your time on an enthusiast's forum then?

We seem to have drifted off a bit here from the original topic (next introduction date)

There have already been discussions regarding the need for a true dry sump (M64/GT1 derived) engine on a road car vs the wet sump (Porsche integrated dry sump) in the M9x engines.

Thanks.

Interesting thread. I just talked with my dealer today. I was about to place an order for a C4S that came out to a ridiculous sticker price (~$150k - went for C4S because of PDK) when my dealer told me that the MY2010 Turbo will have PDK in it. He has a November build for me, and I was going to finalize the deposit on it and remove it from the C4S.

I am assuming however, based on what people are saying, there is no way a November build could have PDK on it? Sounds like I'd be looking at spring next year to get my hands on a PDK Turbo.

You believe your dealer?

Well, some dealers 'might' have info, but no one has anything official yet. Wait if you can, if that is what you really want.
