Default Do you do PPI on CPO cars with 15k

Do you guys think a PPI is necessary for a 07 15k mile CPO car?

I personally don't, but some would argue that the ppi is more involved than a simple cpo inspection.

Are you looking at the Cobalt one at Momentum in TX??

I am too, but not 100% committed. Have at it if you are.

Some dealers will not release a car for an indy PPI once it has been thru CPO.

IMHO, the CPO isn't as thorough as an indy PPI (I doubt they will pull the plugs in order to do a leakdown/compression test). The CPO just replaces normal wear/tear items and hopefully does a full ECU readout (checking for overrevs).

That having been said, the new CPO programme coverage is much expanded over the previous, so if an issue does develop (that perhaps a PPI could have identified), you should be covered.

Paul, I just got an email from my dealer tonight offering 5yr/100k extended warranties at their cost FWIW. My dealer is Porsche of West Houston, same outfit owns both Momentum and PWH.

Nothing that I know of. They have offered me what I think is a good deal (or at least a good deal as of 2 weeks ago, but the sky is falling on these things.)

87k out the door including CPO.

Again I may do this but if you beat me to it thats fine

That sounds like a good deal from here...that would be under $81k including cpo, before sales tax. If one of you two don't jump on this, I might have to start thinking about it.
