I may try the private sector, but i hate being jostled by all the tire kickers. This turbo is a really great car. being where i am located makes it hard to get to someone who can mod or tune. APR is 3 hours from Mobile, alabam..other than that I'll have to transport or drive/fly. but i am almost convinced keeping it and doing the mods for track. one reason it only has 3800 miles on it is I felt early on that i might sell and buy the GT3 for track. But this way I might have my cake and eat it too. thanks!

Are you a dentist or an oral surgeon?

Yes, OMFS. Just got done using a #23 as a matter of fact. I am much further north than you are. Not familiar with dental town.

I dated a girl who went to college in Mobile (Spring Hill College). She always raved about that part of the country.

So is your turbo white (as in your post) or silver (as in your sig)?

I will just say this about auctions as I am in the truck business and have bought and sold hundreds at auction. If you buy enough you are going to get a bad one and you better factor that into your purchase price. With us if we buy 10 and one of them has major mechanical problems we can average on all 10 so it is not to bad. If you buy on car for your use there is a pretty big risk. I would defiantly pay a premium to purchase from a good dealer or an individual that I could check out. I believe there is lot of lease return "trash" in auctions. I know some high end cars that were bought on lease that I would not touch with a ten ft pole. Just my 2 cents.

The dealer where a car gets turned into after the lease is up gets first crack at buying that car from Porsche Financial, if he passes the car then goes on the internal system and all the other dealers can buy it. Then if they all pass PFS disposes of the car. Keep in mind that dealers may pass on lease turn ins because their inventory does not dictate buying a car or the price from PFS is too high.

Trader, is PFS still doing the MVP program (market value pricing), and is there still a way for the former leasee to get in on the bidding?

I was told by PFS on my wife's former Cayenne S that they would not sell to the lessee for other than residual value (and they now own the car!)

I have considered selling the car for the new GT3 for the track we will be finishing this year. the car has only 3800 miles, and is MY08. My dealer is telling me he can only find 95K for the car. After reading this forum thoroughly, I am keeping my turbo and doing a few mods for track.

Prices are way off, but good grief!
Mike-

What happened to this car?

hey Jim:

I don't see your pm.

I have the car. It is at the dealer having a new lip replaced from a curb scrape. I have considered having them retail it for me, but I am still considering selling it myself

In about 9 years I may be trading in a 160K one owner miles TT. I'll be old enough to forget what I paid for it, I hope.
