Yeah if that car had just about any other color combo, I'd be giving him a call...

why are you so surprised? that is a 2-3 year old car that could have had an msrp under 130k. that is not an example of a collapsing market-that is an example of a 3 year old turbo.

'Modern' Porsche Turbos (i.e. 99x models) will all suffer the same depreciation/fate, simply due to overproduction.
Same curves, just different offsets/starting points.

Perhaps the GT2 will be a bit of an exception, but not by much.

Great observation. Car will depreciate about $1K per month regardless of miles. I bought a 2002 turbo in 2006 that had 7k miles for $72K. It had a sticker of $120K.

Remember the 2007 turbo came out in 2006.

Average post-993tt turbo depreciation, like the good doc said, these cars are 2-3 yrs old now. Auction(wholesale) prices are not truely representative of the 997tt market imo. Hard to compare a low mile garage queen/enthusiast car vs a 'average condition' lease turn in/ trade in at auction, if the car was decent the dealer would have kept it.

Check it on ebay about half of the manual '07 coupes have a buy it now of less than 100k. The scary part is they seem to be attracting very little interest. Within a month or two it'll be at 90.

January or February may be the bottom before Spring but with this screwy economy who knows.
I'm looking at a few pre-owned 07's at a dealer in NJ that according to carfax they bought in August....

A quick nationwide search on the Porsche pre-owned site showed 99 cars for sale for the 2007 year and only a handful were under 100k$ and those had over 20k miles and not CPO.
I would never buy a used turbo on e-bay unless I was a dealer myself.

You are right these cars are near impossible to sell. This is my last Porsche other than my GT2. I am tired of losing my butt on these cars. This car is an excellent car and can be had cheaper than any other TT. I am definitely over it. Thanks.

Dude there's an '07 CPO Coupe WITH PCCB's and 12k miles at a Porsche dealership an hour from my house listed at 97,900. It's gotten zero interest at what should be a very competitive price. Most of the '07's I've seen on ebay have been put there by the dealerships. It's a buyer's market and it's only gonna get worse (or better depending on your perspective).

that 3 year old 07 should be selling at $90,000. the pccbs do little for the price of that car-all they give the owner is an expensive repair bill if the brakes fail. at $97,000 for an 07, you have to remember that with a discount, you can buy a brand new 09 with the upgrades (touch screen pcm with xm, bluetooth, etc) for about 30 grand more-not that much for someone looking to spend a hundred grand. these 07 tubo cars have to be priced a bit more realistically-$90,000 would make more sense here. i laugh when i see some of the dealers in nj where i live looking to get 109k for their used 07 turbos-we must also remember that porsche made a ton of 07 turbo coupes, probably close to 2000. they only made 500 or so 08 turbo coupes and even fewer so far 09 coupes. i think the 09 turbo coupes might do relatively well on resale-with the new restrictions on 09 turbos being produced, and with the upgrade in the 09 interior and pcm, the 09 might be a realatively desireable car.
