The Japanese import fanboys have been so focused on how great the GT-R is...the car that arrived this year with little or no fanfare is the 08 Viper ACR...truly a track monster and a incredibly proficient alternative to the 997 GT2 at half the price.

 

That MOPAR is freakin flying, could easily shave a few more seconds off. Then you would be in Edo 996 gt2 7:15 territory.

 

The GTR hype has been ridiculous. The car is overrated and isnt all that fast at all. Even the so called V-spec is no match for the ACR.

That ACR is a torque monster. Check out the shifter at high revs... SCARY!

 

It sure is a tq monster. The ACR just ran a 1:35 over at Laguna Seca.

My friend just bought one based on that video, he traded in his 2nd generation viper to get the acr. the car is a monster. now i gotta deal with that sob when we go to the track together!

here's something else to chew on about the acr...there are no electronic helpers...it's all driver. just imagine if it had helpers and the driver shifted to 5th a lil more.
