Default Turbo Cab now or 09?

I'm working with a buddy that wants to buy a Turbo cab but is unsure if he should go for an 08 now or order an 09 and wait. He can still get an 08 spec'ed car from a local dealer that has a July build that can still be changed.

So, should he wait to see what they change on the 09 or pull the trigger?

Also, does anyone really know what changes the 09 Turbo will have yet?

I just bought mine last month (08' Turbo Cab). I was told that they are virtually the same car for 09'. The PDK will not be available in the Turbo for a while as far as I know so no need to wait for that. I opted for a 6 speed. Tell him to get it now, it's a monster!

I would wait and get a 2009. I have a July build/August completion coupe coming. The changes are minimal and the price increase is about 2%. PCM will be updated to touch screen NAV with Bluetooth and iPod connectivity as options.

Why not wait a few weeks and get the "new" car. Depreciation is a fact of life with car ownership, but unless you can get a discount on the 2008, I do not think it is wise to buy the last 2008 when the first 2009 can be had a few weeks later.

if that's the case then maybe wait. Although I got my 08' for 12K UNDER sticker. My main bargaining chip was the fact that I could wait a bit for an 09'.

I would take an '08 at $12K off. I was offered a June build 2008 at MSRP or a July build 2009 at MSRP so it was an easy decision for me.

There are deals out there right now. The economy is a major factor. I told the dealer that I am in no rush and that I didn't NEED the car, so make it REALLY easy or I walk. He stepped up and I drove it home that night.

I would take one off the lot now, but if it is order a late production 08 or an early 09, barring a big price difference, i'd take the 09.

My buddy has decided to wait for the 09 and spec it exactly how he wants it. Thanks all for the input.
