PCCB problem

I'm wondering if any other owners of 997s with PCCB's are experiencing the same problems- first time starting forward or backward, there is a LOUD click when the brakes are seating. I understand that and can live with it but it is very loud and attracts attention. But not as much as the "grinding" with hard turns at full lock. If I turn hard left or right then there is a grinding noise that is obnoxious. The Porsche tech at my local dealer doesn't know- I trust him and know him personally and he's never heard of it before and no tech bulletins, etc. Anyone else with these problems?

Love to hear feedback from others as well.

Mine is the stick but it's not a trans thing but the brakes. Our dealer has only 3 people with the ceramic brakes and they have not reported these problems. So it is isolated or they haven't had enough people or they haven't noticed or i just got unlucky. I posted this to see if it's just me or there are others and if it's enough, we can go to Porsche and let them know we need it fixed.

Carcam,
Bummer. No such problem with mine....yet.
You definitely need to keep on Porsche on this one. Too much bread for that kind of problem to be going on. Good luck.

Also have a not so loud click when starting off on cold brakes and it does not repeat after sustained driving. No grinding at lock.

Knock on wood, but no problems here. 8,500 miles and 6 speed. For you guys with problems how many miles? As ken said, I'd be all over them on this.

Thanks- guess I'm going to pursue the replacements. At least they don't squeak like on my 996 TT.

I am not experiencing this issue. However, I just found out today there is a "campaign" for replacement of the rear calipers. Mine is getting done tomorrow morning. Perhaps it's related to this issue.

Interesting. Regarding the "campaign", is this being done to address specific problems with certain cars, generic recall-type of action, or because of individual complaints?
Any info appreciated.

Update: At 2.3K miles, mine have not done the click for about the last 1K miles. Maybe it's a break in issue. Maybe the weather warmed up.

I think they are supposed to click and that doesn't bother me- it's only one time going forward and one back. It's the grinding and since I'm the only one with this problem, I know it's an isolated issue and should be fixed. I just hate to bring the car in when nothing else is wrong but I will to get it working properly. Thanks for all the replies guys.
