Is this "campaign" some sort of a recall or something? If so, should we be expecting phone call or even a letter about it?

Maybe I should call my dealer tomorrow and find out more.

The click is the pads moving slightly against the abutment hardware in the caliper. has nothing to do with the PCCB brake rotors. Nothing to worry about.

I'm not sure. I asked the dealer to check all factory issues and TSBs when I dropped it off for other service. The replaced the rear calipers under warranty.

I remember reading about a recall or a service bulletin to make sure that the bolts were torqued properly on the PCCB hats and or spacers if applicable...might want to have them checked out. there was a thread on here in either the 997 or the 997gt3 forum.

Response from service advisor at local P dealer:

"PCCB noise “click” is normal upon first brake due the calipers relaxing from being cooled off long enough. The pistons tend to sink back ever so slightly and then when you apply them for the first time you hear them click back into place. This is normal."

Thanks for the clarification, Terry. I definitely feel a whole lot better now.
