RT12 on track
#5
Ruf was really sweet on the track, let down only by its tires. I've got the original Continental VMax tires on it, which have a ridiculously high treadwear rating and consequently equally ridiculously low grip.
But even with the suspension very much on street (read: soft) settings, car felt so nice and composed. Of course not as exciting, tactile or ultimately as enagaging as the GT3, but much better than I was expecting, considering Ruf have set the car up as a street car, not as a track car.
I really believe the integrated roll cage makes a massive difference, as the car felt tighter and simply had more of that "hewn from a solid billet of steel" feel than the GT3 (even with the bolt-in cage), which has the same mileage.

if i'm going out to try and set a time, i always wear a helmet though.
As for the Ruf, its running the Ohlins, with the 380mm drilled & slotted Brembos, non-PCCB.
cheers!

Glad you got it because I wasn't ready to get into detail
I have the OEM cage in my tt, TA coil overs and sways and it made a huge difference. Can't wait to hit Laguna Seca.
Again, the RT12 is just amazing.
