Who uses radar protection and what kind?
I use Valentine 1 and swear it's saved me thousands over the years as well as my license and driving school.

V1 +1-no reason to do anything else Plus Mike Valentine is a board member and easy to talk to.
I had a K40 in my TT and that thing was GREAT at picking up cell towers front OR rear. I had both in there at the same time and the V1 was just so much better Unless I was looking for a cell tower. |
I have K40 Calibre in the TT. Had V1 in my last few cars, earlier versions of K40 in cars prior to that. I've been happy with both.

Escort solo 2, never failed me yet. Too many false alarms with the v1.

No need for K and X in my area and no false alarms at all, except the very rare interference from cheapo detectors in other cars. Never had a ticket with V1 and would not drive without one. |
Do you a search. You'll find a billion posts on this one. Opinions vary but most like V1.

How do you re-program them?
|
I have 4 V1's in the fleet. You could say I'm biased
|
i also feel that valentine 1 is the best.
|
K band is still largely used around here. I only have X band turned off on the V1. My SUV has a BS detector that i thought used to work great...till i compared it to the V1 i got last month.

The V1 can be re-programmed in several ways and the instructions on how to delete or activate each band is described on their website. http://www.valentine1.com/lab/MikesLabRpt3.asp |
Thanks bro, good update. I haven't checked the site in a while. V1... always cutting edge and it proves it.
