Nav TV ipod interface

I picked one of these up off eBay
How difficult is this kit to self-install or should I have a local car stereo installer put it in. I did upgrade the firmware off of Nav-TV's site so at least I know it works. Removing the PCM cluster doesn't look bad, just connecting the MOST connector looks tricky. Also, where can you put the module behind the console? I'll run the iPod interface cable in the glove compartment so that should be pretty easy.
I found videos on Cayanne and Cayman installs but not on a 996/997, I assume there's no difference? Anyone?

Guys I been wanting to add a similar unit but just gave up. What I did is use the satechi view with rds. It's an fm modulator type deal and it works fantastic! However, it definetly does not have the fidelity of mOST system but I have complete Bluetooth functionality. I see my song title and music scroll thru both the main menu and center console. Does the NAV tv do that? I bump up my treble to 9 and it's decent. Bass is awesome and in surround mode fantastic. All for $69.00

I have a nav-tv ipod interface and for some reason it only plays audio through the left speakers in my car.... It was already installed when I bought it :\
Are you guys using it with an iPod? When I tried it with my iPhone it had a lot of probs unless I was using the stock music app.

30-pin Bluetooth
Doug,
One thing I would highly recommend is getting a 30-pin Bluetooth adapter. I have the Nav TV install as well and the $20-25 piece is great. It plugs into the iPod connector in the center console and then connects through Bluetooth to your iPod/iPhone. That way you can still listen to music but you don't have to worry about putting your phone in the console every time.
