i wouldn't buy this car, especially with all these appearance items that you are paying for without the chrono. i can just see you bringing this car back to a dealer for trade-in and the dealer moaning to you about the fact that he has to take money off the car because of the abscence of the chrono. for a 135-140k car, make sure you get what you want. i have the chrono on my turbo and it definitely responds quicker with the chrono on-i leave it on all the time. if you chip it to make up for no chrono, you may lose your warranty. granted, the chip will give you more hp, the chrono doesn't. i myself feel that porsche should put the extra available boost in all the turbos-charge the extra money if they have to. it doesn't make sense to own a less capable turbo (remember, this isn't a turbo s)-i say pass and get another car.

Where you will really lose money is on the bling (dials, etc). That has next to no value on resale, so just think of it as throwing money away. In 2 years you may get someone to pay you $1,000 because you have SC and another car doesn't. But nobody will pay you maore because your car has white dial faces.
Why spend that kind of cash and not get exactly what you want? There is ALWAYS another car. AS

I whole heartedly agree with everyone, you need Sport or Adaptive Seats and the Chrono, not even a $4-$5K disocount would get me to buy this car, no way.

+1. I have the pro forma for my 08 that has been built and on the way. It shows $1145 for the adaptive sport seats. I wish they were standard

I've learned to always order the car with the exact options you want, its worth the wait. Good luck either way.
