Default Clear Side Markers vs Amber

I got the clear lenses when I bought the car.

My wife wasnt too keen on the clear markers but I put them on today.

If you follow Porsche's recommendations it will takes 10x as long to change out the lenses.

I did both in 10 minutes time.

PM if you need help. I like the way they both look with the guards red. I ll switch periodically.

Here are both looks:

Thanks

I didnt like the amber look with my black Cab so I ordered the clear lenses from the Plug Guy.

But I am really in the middle with the guads red.

Its such an easy change that I can do it once a week if I wanted too.

Now, I have to figure out how to do that duel tips in my garage (DIY).

you should get some LED amber wedge base bulbs to pop in the clear ones, so when your lights are off they are TOTALLY clear and you dont see the amber bulb.

I tried putting LED's on the rear license plate lights and they didn't work. So be careful with the LED bulbs.

Hoen and a few other manufacturers make bulbs with a silver coating that are amber when lit. Virtually invisible inside the clear lenses when not illuminated.

I wonder how picky they would get (LE) if I used the clear bulb (originally in the turbo) with the clear lense. I know by law you have to have amber turn signals but the lights are redundant, the rest are. What are the chances of being cited for that offense???

I bet most LE dont look for correctly colored lights,,, we have so many more problems here that clear vs amber bulbs is nothing.

I just may switch my clear original back into the clear lense
