Buy a turbocharger for 997TT (variable vane)??

Question Buy a turbocharger for 997TT (variable vane)??

Is it possible yet to buy a turbocharger from the 997 TT models yet? The new variable vane turbo. I.e replacement part, etc.

Todd, it's not the end-all turbo. But, you might check out industrial diesel turbos for another cheaper VTG option since they have been around for awhile.

How would the diesel vtg turbo work on NON diesel car? Do they have the same internals???

I'm not sure this is possible. While diesel turbos have been around for a while, they haven't been around for the higher exhaust temperature gas engines. The supposed advancement with the VTG in the TT is the use of new materials that have enabled Porsche to utlitlize the varaible vanes in gas engines.

Marketing? Could be. But I'd make sure before I stuck a turbo designed for a diesel into my gas car.

Let us know what you find.

I know that FVD has larger VTG Turbos. Just checkout their website
