no chris-that would be true if you had a build date of 4/14. if you have a completion of 4/14, you should take delivery by mid may.

Thats what my dealer said. Remember I live on the West Coast. You folks on the East coast have a much shorter transport time (and no Panama Canal between you and the factory). Chris and C4S I'll bet our cars arrive about the same time, give or take a week.

Update, got an email from my dealer and now March 23rd is the completion date. Looks like things are ahead of schedule. 2 weeks ago March 22nd was the build date? Anyhow, being on the West Coast I am still looking at early May delivery.

Gradyex, that's consistent with what my dealership told me about all their orders recently...two to three weeks early for some reason. Not just for TT's but all models. Wonder what the reasons are that Porsche is able to deliver their orders earlier than dealers originally are told? Good news for all of us waiters!

Not really sure but the more cars they crank out the bigger the numbers are at the end of the year for Porsche. The goal of Porsche (like any publicly traded company) is to satisfy the shareholders. Porsche knows that in order to do that they must do better each year. Look at what happened to the $450K Carerra GT? Not enough takers to continue makeing the car profitable to produce. The thing that suffers for us is resale value but I don't purchase cars for investments, I just enjoy them one day at a time. Hope we all get our cars soon. I have gotten a few bites on my 997S and am waiting on an offer? Once I sell that I will feel better about the upgrade to a TT because I am not planning on trading it in. The extra cash I make pays for the taxes on the TT. Some of you lucky guys get to trade your car in and pay taxes on the difference......................not in California.
