good to know ... these offsets will provide a bunch of alternatives with 996tt wheels, especially those of us looking for 18" wheels.

can you measure the caliper to hub face relationship for both frt and rr the next time you have the wheels off? i'm trying to figure out the caliper clearance issues several people have mentioned.

also, how did the 18" tire diameter differential work out and was there an impact on psm operation?

I just talked to Jesse at Champion Motorsport who was the project manager for the original PES GP7 wheels, and is once again project manager on the new ones. He assured me that the new wheels (and the old ones too) are the perfect aggressive fit for the 997TT, and will also fit the 996TT as well. I don't know who else could possibly provide a more authoritative opinion about the fitment, though this does not answer any question regarding the PASM/PSM raised.


The ratio of differential front to rear was within 0.1% of stock which is far less than the allowances that have to be made for tire wear - I had no issues with 1 full track day like this.

With regard to the caliper clearance, I will check for sure but it seemed to have plenty of room (inches)

Some shots taken today with a 235/35/19 tire mounted. I was more worried about the front fitment than the rear (plus I have no spare 305/30/19) since the rear appears to have much more room anyway. I have not driven it as such yet but expect no issues - turn to lock in each direction has as much room as the stock wheel.

Sorry, should have clarified, Porsche only made the 2005 C4S in the 996 body style.

What does that mean? It's either a 997 or a 996. A 997 C4 is a "widebody" just like the 997 TT.

I have a 2005 996 C4S. I don't think a 997 C4S was available in 2005, only the Carrera and Carrera S. Maybe I'm wrong.

In any event, the question I have is whether these wheels will fit, or put another way, will 997TT wheels fit 996 C4S's?

The Champion PES wheels fit both widebody 996 and 997 cars. The offset is the most aggressive on 997 cars( flush with the fender), whereas the 996 cars will have a slight tuck to the wheel.

Don't know the exact specs of the 996 C4 but the 996TT has a front OEM offset of 50mm and rear of 45mm. Using the PES wheels on the 996TT has the front extending 8mm further out than stock and the rear 11mm further out. On the 997TT the numbers become 8mm F and 17mm R. Assuming that the 996TT is the same body style as the 996 C4 you shouldn't have any problems.
