Question MP3 CDs not playing right.. Anyone else with this issue??

Hey guys,

Really enjoying my 997TT since I took delivery a month back. Still taking it easy with the throttle (with the occasional flooring for good measure ). One thing about PCM though:

When I burn my MP3s onto CD using iTunes on my Mac (using data mode), only about HALF the songs play in the car. Plus, some of the ones that DO play won't display the track name/artist (not that big a deal, at least they play). The CD plays fine on the Mac. Has anyone else had this problem?

I know this topic has been discussed before, but my question goes out to those computer pros out there (assuming the problem is NOT with PCM). Should I try using another program like Roxio Toast? With these programs, do I have to drag each and every song into the copy window (150+ tracks)?? Will this make any difference?

I had this same issue with my 997S previously, but now I'm determined to get to the source of it with my TT! It can be really frustrating knowing my favorite tracks are there but are being ignored by PCM..

I only use Macs and have the 997TT. Using Toast I have no problem burning MP3 disks to play in the car.

Well, based on what others have said, it looks like iTunes might be the culprit. I'll just have to try Toast and see what happens. Thanks W211

I use a Mac G4, have iTunes of course, and use Titanium Toaster 5.2.1. Make sure that each song file is an MP3 and be sure that make yourself folders and name them. It will help later in the car sorting them all out.

If still a problem send me an email and I can walk you through the steps...

Thumbs up

Thanks Edgy01

What's funny is before I read your post I did exactly what you suggested, and presto, no problems anymore!

Toast solved everything basically, except the part where I spend 1.5 hours manually creating a new folder with all the songs I want (shortest playlist is 139 songs). It's annoying how many folders iTunes creates for each song. But hey, at least I don't have to do it all over again next time I want to add new tracks to a playlist.

Try first burning an ISO file to your harddrive and then burn the ISO to the disc. Fixes many data transfer problems.
