That is a very nice install. Its nice knowing you have the best laser jammer on the market. I'm glad I could help out.

I just got the SRX installed with laser "shifters", but have not been out much to try it out since I live and work in the city, and hardly get any reading on Lake Shore Drive. Any opinions on the SRX? It wasn't cheap.

The SRX (radar/laser dectector and laser jammer) that is the same thing as the Blinder but different casing's but same software. The story goes as follow's, Blinder sold the rights to Escort who makes the ZR3 laser jammer and also to Beltronices who did make but discontinued the LP 904/905 laser jammer. Those 3 laser jammers basically perform the same since they are 99% the same and are pretty equal in past testing and current testing buy the Guys of Lidar 2007 laser jammer test. The SRX is the same as the Escort ZR3 but has the radar/laser detection control box added. since the SRX only uses 2 heads upfront it had the worst performance against the group of laser guns. The Blinder M40 (4 heads) where used upfront at the same time and only did alittle better. The Laser Pro Park was the best retail laser jammer in the group. Just wondering can you return the SRX in a certain about of time? Depending what laser guns are used in your area you might be ok. But sometimes "might" is not good enough.

Default Stealthy V1 installation

I have lots of doubts about the laser jammer on the Calibre.

My advice - find someone who can give you a stealthy V1 installation and a top rated laser blinder.
I've looked on the V1 website and it looks like significantly sized. What do you mean by a stealthy V1 installation. Does it go in the front bumper as I can't see how you can hide the unit if it still needs to be attached to the windshield?

There is a method to make the V1 very, very stealthy to people seeing your V1 inaction...Its called the V1 Conceal Display. You can get it at the V1 website for like $39.99. Here is how mine is set up. My V1 is above my RVM but its still alerts but no visual alerts, that is up the conceal display down lower away from on lookers.

Thanks for the picture. How do you run the power to the V1? In states where detectors are still legal, is it better to have a stealthy set-up? What are the advantages compared to having it out in the open as cops expect sports cars to have them anyway.

I ran the power cord for the concealed display thru the vents and ran it into my glove box where I have a 3 way power adapter for my V1 and cell phone. The conceal display connects into the 12v Cig. adapter of the V1. The benefits is that no one can see what alerts I am recieving. As for the Police question, no reason to see your weaponries or your defenses. I believe the more you know about your enemy and the less your enemy knows about you will keep you alive in battle...That is what the US Army taught me and I carry it over to my daily living.

You have a big *** ugly box right by your RVW and you call that "stealthy?"

Well no one can see it unless your in my car. But at least its better then having a big *** ugly box leaning up against that White Porsche Cayenne. V1 is the best in the Radar/Laser detector/locater field and show me something that is better then the V1?
