Default GIAC Flash for the 997TT - Tiptronic

So some of you guys asked about the 997 TT tiptronic flash and its availability- well guess what just popped up in my mailbox. So there you have it, the Tip file is now ready and _done_ . The price ($3500) and procedure is the same as before for this one either send it to us, EVO or IA and we'll next day it back. Drop me an Email to alex@sharkwerks.com if you have anymore questions.

Hi TestnDoc,

Absolutely- it's dependant upon octane (91 or 93) and upon other mods that go with it. You really need an exhaust to uncork the full potential of the car. It's 40-95 HP and 60-100 ft-lbs gain. Without an exhaust it's around the 40-ish mark and 60 foot pounds of torque. With a free flowing exhaust it's obviously closer to the 95/100. There's around 8-10PSI of back pressure alone from the stock exhaust. Couple that with the pretty large exhaust side of the turbo and it's clear how restrictive that thing is. Reminds me of the X50 scenario on the 996TTs. These are the gains we see on a kit such as the one on Fred's car: http://www.sharkwerks.com/galleries/...007_997TT_fred

This is the Stage IV kit (which Fred now has):

The Stage III is has been the most commonly dynoed etc... and done so far:

One other thing the Tip is obviously even quicker thanks to the gearing

Sharkster, I have a tip about to go into production w/sport Chrono. Does the sport chrono option affect the GIAC software in any way? Sorry if this is a silly question...

Congrats! What options did you get/color etc...? I think the build time on these is a bit longer than 6speeds. Around 60plus days at least right?

To answer you question, have no fear, it's desiged to work _with_ the Sport Chrono and overboost modes. It was the same story on the 997S'.... You've got options, 91 or 93 for now

Oh that's cool on the white- we have a 997TT white on black coming in very shortly for some surgery. I've always loved white (obviously heh) on these cars. 930 in white, C2 in white, 996TT in white.. so on!
