Guards Red?

Guards Red?
My dealer email me today and has a lightly optioned 997 turbo, guards red, black, sport shifter, heated seats, rear wiper, limited slip and sports chrono. I was planning on waiting for the cab...but...what to do???? Life is so tough with these choices.....

doc-i ordered and picked up 2 weeks ago a guards red with beige interior, with heated seats, lsd and sports chrono turbo-msrp about 126,600. it looks great. the red is the clasic sports car color-reminds me of my 87 targa. if i were you, i would jump at it-the power is great, and you can drive it now, not a year from now when the cab comes out.

Well,
I test drove the 997 turbo today. Although the 997 is faster than my turboS, I felt slightly disconnected from the road, even in the sport mode. In the sport suspension mode, there seemed to be more play in the steering than with the turboS. Also, this car was equipped with the standard steering wheel, much too small for my tastes. The sport shifter has a very good feel, not as difficult to shift as on my turboS. In the normal suspension mode, the car is much smoother over bumps, and would be suited for long drives on the interstate, etc. The acceleration is unreal; however, the lack of a good exhaust note took some of the sensory expectations away. The interior of the 997 turbo is markedly better than the 996, although Im not wild about the sport chrono "wart" on the dash.
Am I going to get a 997 turbo? Probabaly so, but I will most likely wait for the cab and or DSG/PDK.
