Default 997 Turbo Exhaust system.

Mike, that has to be the best exhaust note I've heard yet. I have not put aftermarket exhaust system on my 997s, but I will be putting your exhaust system on my new 997 Turbo that will arrive by Dec 1. The exhaust note will match the red exterior.

Mike,

Cool video. I think the low angle shot along the road portrays the sound best. I have not heard the video through very high quality speakers so I can't say, but I think most videos fail to capture the low-end of the note which is very impressive to me.

Again, perhaps you have and the speakers I am using just wont reproduce the bandwidth.

BTW, are you considering anything for Ferrari 430's?

I agree with regards to the low angle. That part of the clip really blows us away. We have some other ideas on how to record sound, but for right now we have to rely on the cam and our handheld mic.

Ferrari comes up in converstaion every now and again, but we always seem to lean more toward Lamborghini since now there is the realationship with VAG.

What do you think?

I think a great exhaust for a 430 would be cool. I know Ferrari has builders for it , Tubi/Capristo etc. so maybe it is a market you don't want to start with for a number of reasons. Just thinking out loud.

I'm sure it's my laptop but the first few passes sounded stock and the rest sounded a lot better. Was this a before and after video?

This was not a before and after video, but what you are hearing is essentially correct.

The first few passes were at part throttle, where our system intentionally sounds very similar to stock in order to eliminate annoying resonance/drone inside the car. The deeper, throatier sound you hear on the other passes is at full throttle.

We have basically created a system that is completely docile and civilized when you want it to be, and also aggressive and exotic sounding when you want it to be.
