AWE Tuning now taking pre orders for 997TT exhaust.
After several prototypes, we've finally got it. Along with the prototypes we also logged hundreds of miles of extensive sound, horsepower and reliability testing. We feel we have created the perfect exhaust.
The drone free tone is rich and not overpowering. We also picked up 23 crank hp, and 30 lb/ft of torque. All dyno tested on our in-house Mustang AWD Chassis Dyno.
As with all AWE Tuning exhaust products, each system is TIG welded using 14 and 16 gauge 304 Stainless Steel.
We have detailed dyno and sound charts as well as a "TEASER" video on our site.
If you are interested in placing a pre order please let me know. I can be reached via phone, email, or carrier pigeon!

Currently we are putting the finishing touches on our full length action video. To enhance the experience, we pulled out all the stops. We received assistance from our friend who is an Emmy Award winning Sound Engineer that works with both NASCAR and the NFL. We think you all will be impressed with the results.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!

I saw your Cayman exhaust on www.caymanclub.net and it got high marks there, is the turbo exhaust as good?

do you have any data on how the 100 cel cats affect emissions output? i want to make sure that my 997tt can pass e-testing without swapping out the awe exhaust system.
thanks

We went a different route to keep the lights off. This is a quote from our website.
"Utilizing 14 and 16 gauge 304 Stainless Steel and German made 200 cell metal core catalysts".
Couple thousand miles of testing and no issues. I hope this helps with your decision.

Exhaust choices for the 997TT so far.
Cargraphic with their system claims they get 21 BHP and 20 NM (15 ft lbs) on the RS engine dyno.
AWE with their system claims 23 BHP and 40 NM ( 30 ft lbs) on a wheel dyno.
Weight, the Cargraphic is 26 lb lighter than stock and the AWE is 10 lbs lighter stock.
Price, the Cargraphic is about 4,400 USD and the AWE is 3,800 USD
Sound like music is to the beholder.
Am I missing you anything?

Just wanted to add that now that I have 100-1200 mi on my exhaust it has settled in very nicely sound-wise. Husky, but not overbearing. When I nail it it still roars.
Now I'll look at modding the intake sound

i can't believe that Pfaff tuning didn't bring in any 997t exhaust systems into their inventory!

Just want to share my experience: I had the cargraphic loud export version installed recently and I can tell you it is much much better than I expected. There is no resonnance at any rpm and the car is a lot louder and sounds great inside and out especially at full throttle. cargraphic claims about 20 hp gains but it seems more to me maybe because the car is already tuned. the throttle response is certainly better especially in sport mode.
the exhaust is also about 25 pounds lighter than stock. It is expensive but it is worth it and I love it.

Don't worry about Pfaff. They will order some.
As a side note, we work very closely with Pfaff Tuning in Canada. They are an exciting group of guys that are VERY in tune with the aftermarket. We send big pallets of product to them on a regular basis. We have been working with them for years and it's proven to be an awesome partnership.
Here is there contact info.
