Default anyone with aftermarket exhaust, cat, or bypass without CEL

Who has exhaust systems with sport cats, mufflery bypass, or even complete exhaust kits that is experiencing CEL issues?

cool. i will be in touch as I decided to wait to find out more details before committing to this fabspeed sport cats and muffler bypass! I was originally scheduled to head down to fabspeed today for the install but havent heard back from Joe on this CEL so I'm gonna chill out until there is a remedy to this. Thanks...

the only system that seems to work without throwing the CEL are the 200 cell metallic substrate cats. i have always had problems with the 100 cell cats regardless of what i do. it is very frustrating.

What's the trick Stephen, are 100 cell cats' just too much (or little as it were)?

100 cell cats and the type of cats will make the difference.

Cooper,

I saw you ask this question in the other thread about our exhaust. After thousands of miles with our new exhaust system, we have had no issues with the CEL.

The 997TT has an 800 cell catalytic converter from the factory, and as soon as we saw that we knew what we had to do to ensure no CEL. We had already gone through this with our VW and Audi performance exhausts and turbo systems, so we had *a lot* of experience with this issue already.

Our system cut backpressure in half and has produced a 5% increase in wheel power (20 whp gain on 440 whp stock runs), so our system certainly gives up nothing in terms of flow in exchange for no CEL.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
