Have any of you accidentally released the trunk when handling the key? I have, several times now, pulled away only to see the warning light showing the trunk is released.
Is there a way to disable the key button that opens the trunk? I use the trunk seldomly and have no problem opening the door to access the lever.
theres a bulletion on that, I havent read it yet becasue i havent had any custoemrs complaing take it to the dealer im sure someone has the bulletion number if not ill look it up tomorrow
i agree-it is constantly a problem for me. if i put the keys in my pocket at work, i will frequently find my trunk open when i go outside to go home, because of any pressure on the key while in my pocket.
Porsche did make a change or two with the trunk buttons, e.g., extending the time the button has to be depressed for activation. (Stock is 2 seconds). I would imagine they can change that programming. I, too, have made the same discovery,--returning to an unsecure trunk!
I took it to my dealer and they said that the service bul. # 2/06 ENU 9662 9 that I gave them had to do with the windows being opened with the key not the trunk. They said the factory put a longer delay in the cars with newer vins than mine.
